Work is going pretty well. I didn’t get the job I interviewed for last week. I did get some high praise from one of my leads, with a commitment to train me further so I can do more for the surgeon’s office than I can currently. Plus, I honestly enjoy what I do where I’m at. As long as the problematic person leaves me alone, I think I can hold out for a little bit.
I’m working on my book proposal. Right now, I’m working on the chapter summaries. I’m also trying to decide what samples to include. Thankfully, I have a lot of potential to consider across the various posts on all my socials.
Still not a fan of group therapy. It is only a placeholder for my 1:1 appointments that are still scheduled in friggin’ December. I just need to avoid a severe crisis until then. My new PCP appt is this week. It will be nice to have 1 MyChart instead of 3. Plus, it will be easier to coordinate future care.
My OT appts start on the 15th. I think that will make a difference in my recovery. I’m still on track to see the surgeon at the 7-month mark. The therapy is to help with muscle recovery and to help guide my movement with my hemiplegia. It’s too easy to swing my arm with the right amount of momentum.
We signed up for the FitOne 5K today. I’ll be training for that this summer. I’m meeting with a potential trainer next week. That’s going to be the main topic of discussion. How do I train for this, and work, and keep myself fed?
