How will you take care of yourself? What does your self-care kit look like? Taking care of myself for the rest of the year means making a crystal clear boundary between work and home life. I will not sacrifice the balance I find necessary to maintain my physical and mental health. It means taking responsibilityContinue reading “Self Care”

Day 1 of Mindful Intention
Setting my new habit last night. I completed my 10 things of gratitude. Instead of watching TV to fall asleep, I found a true crime podcast for sleep. It was interesting but soothing and I slept through the night without my screen being on. This morning, as I was getting ready for work and driving,Continue reading “Day 1 of Mindful Intention”
Archive: Top tips for trainers
In the early 2000s, my career was in call centers. After training for a work-from-home job for a company I wrote these tips. So here are my top points for all trainers.
Kindness Thursday
Popping up on my social media feed is the #kindness movement. Our team at work sometimes has trouble leading with kindness. Daily Encounters

Monday-est Monday

My value to the team is recognized and appreciated. I can settle into my new roles in our department until the next opportunity that excites me.
Sit – Stand Desk
At long last, my desk was installed today. I have an area where I can change positions at my leisure and still be productive at work. I am excited to set my desk up… my home away from home and see how I can help my patients. I had a patient today that I connectedContinue reading “Sit – Stand Desk”
Life Intervenes
I’ve been rundown lately. On Monday night, I came home, and having been in the building during the carpet shampooing, my sinuses were irritated. Last night, the coughing began. So, I stayed home from work. I slept, stayed hydrated, and ate. By bed tonight, I’m hoping to feel good enough to go to work forContinue reading “Life Intervenes”
Work Life
I got to learn something new this week at work. I got to learn that something new because I asked for it at the right time to the right person. I was excited to share what I was learning with a person I thought was a friend. But, that person was less than thrilled withContinue reading “Work Life”
