My paternal grandmother passed away on February 6, 2022 at 100 years old. She was born in 1921 on the island of Puerto Rico. In her lifetime she raised 3 children, many grandchildren, and lived to see great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. I have three most cherished memories of my grandmother. 1. Whenever IContinue reading “Grandma “Mami” Petra”

Being Present
I need to make sure that my kids see a difference in my home than they do at the birth family’s house. So that when they go home they can bring the best things they learned here to their own families. That means a conscious effort at doing things differently than the way I grewContinue reading “Being Present”

Before moving forward…
Before sharing my New Year’s journey… I first need to acknowledge the great blessing that our family received during the holidays. We’ve struggled the last little bit. Some of the highlights of 2021: Taking Jess Weiner’s WTF is Success courseQuitting a job that IContinue reading “Reflections of 2021”
Compelled to
I keep going no matter what. Occasionally my body forces me to rest and recover and I hate it. I know that I need to rest and that my body deserves recovery after all that I do, but I have some severe anxiety that my resting will create another pause. I’m not ashamed to admitContinue reading “Compelled to”
Birthday Bash
Cyclebar Village Meridian turned 5 years old last week. (October 27-28, 2021) To celebrate there were theme rides, guest cyclestars, killer soundtracks, and lots of riding. There were 10 rides between the 2 days. I rode 8 of those rides. One of those rides was with my husband and our weekly date night… for CBContinue reading “Birthday Bash”

The time I got my Driver’s License for the first time. It was a big deal! My life has changed so much since getting my license. After driving in New York any apprehension I had about driving has been eradicated. This was also when the seeds to do other things that scared me bloomed. TodayContinue reading “Archive: Conqueror (October 29, 2013)”
