What are your two favorite things to wear? My favorite thing to wear is my hooded robe. When I know I’m home for the day and not going anywhere else, I love getting out of street clothes and wrapping myself up in the softness and lifting the hood on my head while I watch theContinue reading “Favorites”

Trust
Do you trust your instincts? At this point in my life, I can say without any doubt that I trust my instincts. The only caveat to that trust is when I’m in physical or emotional turmoil… and then I lean on the instincts of my husband to keep me safe.
Anniversary
Who are your current most favorite people? My favorite person ALWAYS is my husband. We celebrated our 28th anniversary this past weekend. We had a staycation at the Anniversary Inn and it was a really relaxing night. My next favorite person is a friend who’s been completely honest and vulnerable and has allowed us opportunitiesContinue reading “Anniversary”
Waiting period
I had my 6 month imaging as part of my health care protocols. I’ve been called back for additional imaging. Scheduling these appointments is part of my job every day. So, in my head I know this is “routine ” and there is probably nothing to be too concerned about. My body’s reaction to it…Continue reading “Waiting period”
Mantra
What part of your routine do you always try to skip if you can? Lately the part of my routine i do everything to skip is the anxiety spiral. First world issues and life in general is trying to sap my joy and play the what if game. So, instead of giving into the anxiety,Continue reading “Mantra”
Word Work 2025
I was introduced to Luvvie what seems like forever ago. Her words inspire me. Successful authors tend to do that, since I want to be a successful author one day. My godmother was the person that made my desire for independence possible. While my mom protected me, mama would let me exploreContinue reading “Who doesn’t?”
Friends
This week, I had 2 members of the Relief Society presidency come to my home and visit with me. It was a good visit. They indirectly asked about my church attendance. And, I was honest. I have little patience for the social part of church. I don’t have many close relationships at church. I thinkContinue reading “Friends”
Here but not
So, in October, I took my daily writing practice off line. I will be honing those pieces and perhaps sharing here, or maybe share in other forms. I have opened and closed this blank page a lot over the last few days. Lots of things going on amongst my inner monologue… not much of itContinue reading “Here but not”
Testimony
Once a month, our weekly church service is essentially an open mic meeting. Anyone willing to share their experience is welcome to get up and share. For years, I was the one who stepped up to the podium and shared my thoughts and experiences about my beliefs. I am a little more selective about when/where/withContinue reading “Testimony”
