Preparation

I started medical leave today. So, yesterday was my final day at work for a hot minute. I spent the last three days bringing my personal items home and getting my workstation prepared for someone else to use while I’m gone. It was nice to pull it all down and give someone a blank slate to do their best work.

Over the last few weeks, we’ve prepped the house for my leave. I’ve washed and put away all of our clothes. I’ve also gone through the closet and gotten rid of the clothes that I do not wear and don’t plan to wear after my leave is over.

This morning, we had a doctor’s appointment to cover the things we should know and prepare for over the next few weeks. Tonight, we do the last of the prep, and tomorrow morning, another chapter of my life begins.
