- Card games
- Every family get-together in my memory included three things. Music, food, and card games. Card games were played by the adults while the kids played other games or watched a movie.
- Birds
- My grandmother had parakeets for years growing up. They were in pairs and I’d hear them talking. Every once in a while they would escape their cage and watching my grandmother catch them to put them back in their cage was always an adventure.
- Watercolor paint
- Back in the day, there were coloring books that had all the colors already embedded on the page… all you had to do was use a wet paintbrush to activate the paint. It was my favorite thing to do.
