Here but not

So, in October, I took my daily writing practice off line. I will be honing those pieces and perhaps sharing here, or maybe share in other forms.

I have opened and closed this blank page a lot over the last few days. Lots of things going on amongst my inner monologue… not much of it is suitable for sharing. But, here is something that I think is important I say for the world at large.

Life is hard. Relationships are hard. Doing the best for yourself is sometimes in direct opposition to what’s best for relationships. But, that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t do it.

I have learned that when you have a choice to what’s best for you and what’s best for the rest of the world, you need to CHOOSE YOURSELF FIRST!

The reason I say that is from learned experience. When I take care of myself first, my other relationships are more fluid to manage. I can devote my full energies to them because I’m not living off fumes and barely surviving.
