This month just like last month is so important in the world in which we live. We are living in a time when our rights, protections, and avenues of livelihood are being threatened. We absolutely must stand up and make ourselves known.
I am a disabled woman with Cerebral Palsy. I have from a very young age had to declare who I was and prove to everyone including myself that I can do any damn thing I want.
Even today, people try to tell me things I can’t do… I truly love it when I prove them wrong.
Throughout this month… I will share things about my journey in this world. I will also share insights from others in my community that inspire me.
One important theme I hope to illustrate is that being disabled doesn’t change the fact that I am a human being who deserves every right and protection as anyone else.
