I missed a day of posting. I realized it just as I was dozing into the best night’s sleep I had in the past little bit.
We learned this week that my brother has been arrested and is incarcerated while the wheels of justice turn.
I’m sad that he is in this situation, but I’m also relieved that he is still here. I was afraid for a bit that the call we were going to get was from a coroner’s office.
I hope my brother gets what he needs in this season of his life.
In the meantime, let me share my favorite brother story as part of my birthday posts.
When we were growing up, we spent time together playing video games. Console games were hard for me, so he got better than me pretty quickly. We would collect Pogs and watch Ninja Turtles together. Some of my favorite memories are listening to my brother talk about the things he enjoys.
