CP = lifelong issues

Cerebral Palsy is not progressive. Meaning: the damage that was done is never going to get worse, but that doesn’t mean that my life with cerebral palsy does not change as I age.

If I don’t use my adaptive gear, do my therapy regimes, get regular health checks, and actively engage my weak muscles, my functionality will decrease.

In my 20s and early 30s, I had 3 surgeries on my left arm to increase function and mitigate pain. And, with those surgeries, I gained the ability to grip and grasp at my will without using my dominant hand to stabilize.

In my 40s, I exercise regularly, eat as healthy as I can, and see my physiatrist and PCP as often as needed.
