Early on in my childhood, my mother taught me the marine slogan: “improvise, adapt, and overcome.”
Improvising, adaptation, and overcoming obstacles is how I live my life.
As a kid, it was improvising and adapting things I wanted to do with what I was physically capable of.
As an adult, it has become my life mission to overcome limiting beliefs and do the things I never thought I could.
Things like: training in martial arts, kickboxing, cycling, and climbing literal mountains.
I also got married (almost 28 years), became a parent, got my driver’s license, graduated from BYU-I, was mentored by two authors that I admire, and kept my job.
I’ve learned to love exercise as a way to help my body adapt, but that’s a story for tomorrow.
