Be A Light

I was driving home from a friend’s house today,  and this was on my playlist of the day. Talk about timely!

It reminded me of Matthew 5. “Ye are the light of the world. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father, which is in heaven.”

I’m asking myself the question: How am I showing up? Am I the light?

First, I am showing up every day. I don’t ignore my responsibilities to myself, my family, or my community.

Second, I show up for myself. I take care of my health in all aspects. I am doing what I can to be the best version of myself.

Third, I pay attention to the opportunities that come to learn. No one is perfect. There is always something to learn and potential for growth in all areas of life.

In the times we live, we need everyone to be a light. The next years will be hard. We are just seeing the beginning. We have lots of battles ahead. I am bound and determined to be a light shining the way forward. Are you?
