Day 26

Write about a few of your favorite family traditions.

In my marriage, family traditions have evolved time and time again.

There are a couple of things that have been a constant.

We celebrate Three Kings Day. Our tree stays up until January 6th or later. Some years we exchange gifts, some years we take the time to reflect and recommit, and still some years we have our big Christmas dinner on that day.

We watch movies and go to dinner for birthdays.

Every year on our anniversary, we go to our favorite staycation and enjoy time together. The  time together connects us no matter what stressors or disconnects happen throughout the months prior. We also try to do a trip or other staycations other times as well.

Date nights are a must… every week we spend time together. At home or on the town… just us (or with our kid) we have fun together.
