Day 13  — Prescheduled Post

What would your ideal day look like?

My ideal day. My ideal day without thinking about worldly responsibilities.

The day starts after a restful sleep. I awake to eat a breakfast of warm oatmeal seasoned with a cinnamon tea and sugar, like my grandmother made. The meal would include juice, coffee, and appropriate vitamins/electrolytes to prepare for the next activity.

Next up in my ideal day is a workout. This could be a spin class at home, a training session in the gym, a water or land-based PT session… whatever my body needs that day to be at its best.

After my workout, I would take time in a cool shower at home, a cold plunge at the gym, and then a sauna session. (One goal is to purchase a portable sauna for my workout space.)

After recovery, I will get ready for the day by dressing appropriately for the weather. I will eat a snack, just a snack, and go about doing something fun with friends/family/the world at large.

After a few hours, it’d be time to head back home where I’d take my animals for a walk and  prepare a good and healthy meal.

The evening would be spent in my warm/cool (depending on the season), home reading, or watching movies (or more likely both).

After a short mindfulness practice, I would get ready for bed and sleep with a full heart and the knowledge that I had a good day.

An ideal work day would be one where things got accomplished, and I still had the mental and physical fortitude to come home and cook a healthy meal for my family.
