What are your top 4-5 goals for this year? Why do they matter to you?
A few days ago, I shared my intention for the year, and I listed some of my priorities.
Today, I’d like to solidify those priorities into a few S.M.A.R.T goals.
I will lift weights evenly on both sides. In 6 months, I will have established a weight lifting routine of 3x per week. I will be able to complete an hour long session without dropping weight at the end of 6 months.
This goal is important to me so that I can continue to improve my overall health.
I will write in my journal/blog every day in 2025.
This goal is important to me because I have a long-term goal of being a published author. Before I endeavor to write that book/piece, I need to develop the habit of writing daily.
I will read one chapter of a book daily.
This goal is important to me because it will be the avenue I use to let my imagination and personal development take place.
I will walk over 5000 steps and/or complete at least a 30-60 minute workout every day.
This goal is important for three distinct reasons. First, with cerebral palsy… movement is key to staying independent. Second, as a diabetic… movement is key to maintaining and potentially reversing the progression of the disease. Third, my mental health is vastly improved when I am active.
I will socialize away from social media once per week.
This goal is important to me so that I will not relapse into hermitting behaviors.
