The kids and I had a very busy day on Monday. So, yesterday… we stayed home and relaxed. They were excellent throughout the day but decided to go nuts when my husband came home from work, so I got in my car to go for a drive. I was essentially on autopilot as I was also talking to my mom at the same time.
I ended up at cyclebar. Just being there for a few minutes and seeing people actually miss me was exactly what I needed.
I love being these kids mom right now. It’s interesting having a tween girl in the house. She is very girly… yet not… I am decidedly not girly… so we balance out well. My 7 yr old loves to play with legos and constantly making new things to impress me. Plus, they get along and play well with each other. I am glad my home is a refuge and a safe place.
